Wow. A week without a post

It's been busy...or something. Facebook is just so much easier to keep up-to-date. I can update from my cell phone, pictures and all!

Anyway, we had some neighbors who moved out next door, and the city bought the property. They had some very healthy and nice yew bushes over there, and I kept saying I wanted them. We didn't know who to ask, but our all-knowing neighbors Jimmy and Tracy knew. Turns out, they didn't care if we took them, just so we dug them up ourselves.

Yesterday was the day. We borrowed Dad's tractor with the bucket on the front and got to work. It took over 4 hours to get the 4 bushes, but they are now here at our house. Looks like it's going to be nice for a while, so I hope they settle in OK before the ground freezes. They're pretty hardy bushes, so I think they'll be OK.

We have a hibiscus that takes over our front porch every year. It's been here for years before we ever moved in, and if you don't tie it back, you can't get to our front door. Since we were moving the bushes over here, we dug up the hibiscus. It was so huge that it came up in 4 sections of roots, so we planted it around the propane tank.

We had more trick-or-treaters this year than we've had since we moved here. It was fun. Then, Brett and Lacie brought Kami over and she spent the night. Kevin just took her home a bit ago. Now, it's chillin' out and watching my Sunday night shows. Tomorrow, it's back to work.

They weekends go by WAY too fast.

Well then, it's a good thing the candy fairy gave you some candy.
