A better day for me

I was determined to have a better day.  For the most part, it was.  One work thing has me bothered, but it will be for the best, I'm sure.  I think.  LOL

Kameron came over.  She is so awesome.  Very serious tonight.  Not sad or grumpy, just taking it all in and being serious.  It's cute.  She just had a bottle and is talking to her Dad about bed time.  They disagree a bit, but it's OK.  She'll win.  We all know that, right?

The weather is perfect.  That contributes more than you know to my better mood.  Kevin still hurts, but his Doc gave him some pain meds for the interim.  He can still barely walk, but the family is all here to help.  The laundry is still calling, but we have a family plan to keep it in check.

I'm an optimist, and have been for a long time.  I get down from time to time, but I get over it.  What else can you do?  Wallow?  No thanks.  I'd rather be happy, thankyouverymuch.

Tonight, I am happy.  Thanks for the prayers and well-wishes.  We still need them, but knowing they're working means a lot.  Tomorrow, I will set a goal to smile 4 times.  I smiled 3 times today, without meaning to.  Life is good.  Just ask the lazy pets who lay around all day and get waited on.  Life is good.

My secret to happiness is to ask myself this question: What's the worst that can happen?

This has gotten me through some very trying times.

I, in a goofy way, talk to myself about forgiveness & being grateful, way too many times a day. But it works. I am very grateful, and I might not forget, but I do forgive, which helps me more than it helps anyone else. Glad you've had a bit of a better day and hope the trend keeps moving that way. Hey, look what a great deal you have in a Mom :-).

Just take it a day at a time. Don't think further than that if you can help it. I try not to get overwhelmed that way. Sometimes I will think, ok...if I can just get through this week...or this day...I'll be fine. Because, a year from now you'll have a whole set of new issues to deal with and these will be gone.
Give Kevin a hug for me ok?

I'd come do your laundry for you, but I don't know you feel about me touching your underwear.... ;-P

Thanks, Amy. Anyone willing to do my laundry can not only touch my underwear, but feel free to scrub the grimy socks of my children, too.

Smiles always helps. Every time you look at that precious baby you can smile.
