Our vacation started this morning. Bright and early this morning. We were up by 4 and out the door by 4:35. Of course, we had to stop at WalMart and QT, since you can't start a vacation without giving those two some money. We finally pulled out of Oak Grove at 5:35.
Within 30 minutes, we were on I-35 South. This is where we'll stay...all day. Seriously, until we're in Ft. Worth, we'll be on the same road. Seems funny to me for some reason.
You should see the inside of this car, too. I have a power inverter plugged in to the cigarette lighter, with the computer power cord plugged into the 110 and the iPhone plugged into the USB. The aux. cord is plugged into the car stereo, so we can listen to Pandora through the car speakers. There are so many cords up here that I can't get to my Diet Coke. LOL Fewer stops that way, I suppose.
So, we're on our adventure, and I just had to blog from the car, because I never have. I got to borrow an "internet stick" for the trip. I call it that because it makes my coworkers roll their eyes at me.

Tornado Devestation
I was going to make a post about our family members who are hurting, devastated, and lost everything. I was going to post about how my girls are going to help. I was going to post about how horrible it is.
I can't.
Please google "Joplin, MO" and read it for yourself. Kevin's family is hurting and needing help. Please pray or send good thoughts or do whatever it is that you do.
I'll try again tomorrow.

Rain
It's our spring busy season, so I have very little PC time. I read what I can, play a game here or there, and that's it. I am checking in to say:
"Rain, glorious rain, beautiful rain, wonderful rain!"
Good night.

Goodbye, Asshat.
Yes, he's gone. It's huge. Facebook lit up and I enjoyed posting about it as well.
To those of you who choose to say that it's a government conspiracy to fool us and those who choose to say that we're evil for celebrating and those who say that it's not real and those who only want to start an argument because they have no life:
Do your thing. Go through life hating and being skeptical and trying to stir up the crap wherever you can. You are better than me? OK. It's not an argument that I'm inclined to get involved in. I'm sorry that you are bitter and sad.
God bless those who fight every day and night to keep me and my family safe. I celebrate when a rapist is taken off the streets. I celebrate when a child molester is captured. It doesn't make rape or child molestation stop, but it is a win.
I count this night as a win. 5-1-11. The good guys got a win. We win. I win.
Good night.

Busy as Heck
OK, it's spring busy season at work, so I'm whupped. Monica is playing softball and things are kinda crazy. Not bad, just crazy.
Oh, and to four certain people? This is for you:
Yeah. I'm better now.
To the rest of you? Have a wonderful night and an awesome Easter weekend! I hope you have a 3-day weekend. (I don't.) LOL

Happy Days
Kevin started his day shift this week. He's also currently working 10 hours a day (God bless OT) so he's out the door by 5, and home by 5:30 at night. It's nice to have him home in the evenings again. That puts me on morning duty, so I'm not going in as early right now, which suits me fine.
Monica's had early softball practice for a couple of days, so she has to be at the ball fields at 6:15. I take her (less than a mile from home) and come home to get Natalie up and around. It's only the second day in, but it's going smoothly so far.
It's so nice to have the windows open all night, waking up to a cool (but not cold) house. No warming up cars, no scraping frost/ice, and no miserable muttering when getting out of the car. It's sunny on my drive home and for a couple of hours after. It sure does make my mood a lot better.
The coffee is good this morning and I think I'll get to the eye Dr. this afternoon. Time for new contacts, and I'm sure I need a stronger prescription. *sigh* The annoyance of being half blind. I'd LOVE to have laser vision correction. Maybe some day. For now, I'll just be thankful for contacts.

Spring
It's kinda hot in the house this afternoon. I'm beaming from the inside out just typing that.
What a long, torturous winter. Seemed like we had NO breaks in the crappy weather.
I'm happy. Oh, and we need to mow the yard! YEAH! I love mowing the yard.
